APRN or PA needed to join a great mental health clinic on a full time or part time basis.

Mid-Plains Center for Behavioral Healthcare Services, Inc. (MPC) is a non-profit, COA accredited, mental health organization. For nearly 40 years, Central Nebraskans have turned to Mid-Plains Center for low-cost, professional therapy, and mental health services. Established in 1971 as Mid Nebraska’s Community Mental Health Center, Mid-Plains Center has expanded in the last 10 years to include a full range of behavioral services capable of providing prevention, treatment, crisis intervention, placement and aftercare services.

Essential Job Results: Assess consumer needs through medication evaluations, develop and follow treatment plans, delivering competent medical service at full productivity, providing on-call medical service when approved, completing necessary paperwork, attend required meetings and trainings and maintain a professional work ethic consistent with CQI philosophy.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Complete a thorough diagnostic interview with the consumer and gather collateral information as available and necessary.
  • Ensure that intake forms are properly and accurately completed.
  • Provide a clinical write-up of the evaluation that includes observations, evaluation, diagnostic information and recommendations for treatment according to industry standards.
  • Staff cases with the Psychiatrist as needed in a collaborative consultation format to share treatment plans and receive feedback.
  • Ensure that the client has had ample opportunity to participate in the formation of the treatment plan.
  • Develop, follow, and maintain a comprehensive treatment plan that adequately addresses the behavioral healthcare medical needs of the consumer.
  • Review and update the treatment plan and document the review process in accordance with program policy and COA standards.
  • Schedule regular appointments with clients, structure each visit so as to accomplish the goals and objectives stated in the treatment plan, evaluate the outcome of each session according to the goals and objectives sought, and encourage clients to give feedback regarding the services received.
  • Ensure that all clients receive the appropriate level of services to successfully complete the treatment plan and coordinate with other services as part of follow-up and aftercare for continued success.
  • Coordinate services with other Mid-Plains Center programs to facilitate integration of medical services within the continuum of services.
