Outpatient Therapist


Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that client documentation requirements are completed in a thorough and timely manner
  • Complete alcohol or other drug evaluation (AOD evaluation) with the client according to accepted industry standards, including interviewing, testing, interpreting, and documenting the results.
  • Schedule regular appointments with clients, structuring each session so as to accomplish the goals and objectives stated in the treatment plan; evaluate the outcome of each session according to the goals and objectives sought; and encourage clients to give feedback regarding the services received.
  • Coordinate services with other Mid-Plains Center programs and outside referral sources to facilitate integration of Outpatient services within the continuum of services.
  • Attend to emergencies as they arise whenever on-duty and available, including providing emergency therapy sessions, handling emergency phone calls, and making emergency visits as necessary.
  • Document all crisis response services provided using the appropriate forms and submitting completed documentation to medical records and billing according to Mid-Plains Center’s policy.
  • Prepare for, attend and actively participate in all required supervision, staffing, meetings, and training sessions.
  • Actively promote a team-oriented environment by providing, accepting, and acting upon constructive feedback regarding all aspects of service delivery.
  • Attend to additional tasks and assignments given by Supervisor as deemed necessary to the functioning and success of the Outpatient Services program and Mid-Plains Center.

Qualifications:
  • Licensure in Nebraska as a Mental Health Practitioner (LMHP) or (LIMHP), plus LADC certification.
  • Must have a clean legal background, excellent references, ability to operate computer systems, ability to hear, see and monitor therapy sessions.
  • Ability to perform all job requirements and expectations
  • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken). Bilingual fluency in English/Spanish is preferred.
